A fire extinguisher for the home
A home fire extinguisher is a device designed to extinguish small fires in a home environment. A home fire extinguisher is usually lighter and more compact than professional fire extinguishers and is specifically designed to deal with fires that occur in the kitchen, living room or bedroom.
There are different types of fire extinguishers, but the most common type is a powder fire extinguisher. This type of fire extinguisher is effective in extinguishing fires involving electrical equipment, cooking fires, small waste bin fires and liquid fires - making it effective against fires originating from bioethanol.
Having a fire extinguisher in your home is important as it can help you put out a fire quickly before it grows bigger and more dangerous. It can also give you and your family the extra security that may be needed in the event of a fire.
Powder extinguisher for bio fireplaces
When you need to find a fire extinguisher to put out fires that originate from a bioethanol fireplace, the vast majority of fire extinguishers will be able to work. However, we recommend that you use a powder extinguisher - i.e. a fire extinguisher whose content is fire-retardant foam.
However, you should NOT use a fire extinguisher with water, also called a water extinguisher, to extinguish fires in a bioethanol fireplace or other liquid fires.
